We cannot afford to bankrupt families because they happen to lack adequate healthcare or have a preexisting condition. We need a system that covers treatments, medicines, vision, dental care, and mental healthcare.
The Affordable Care Action was the first step in this direction, but it’s still flawed. Nearly every other developed nation in the world offers universal healthcare at a lower cost than we pay now.
How come America, the richest country in the world, cannot do the same?
