Big money and corporate greed led to the 2008 financial meltdown. We can’t let this happen again.
Unfortunately, we have gutted Glass-Steagall, which was enacted to help prevent the next financial crisis. Now banks are back at the gambling tables, and it’s only a matter of time before the next bubble bursts.
We need to craft forward-looking regulations to prevent big banks and Wall Street from gambling with investors’ money before there’s another financial meltdown where taxpayers, like you and me, wind up footing the bill.
